What can I do?

No doubt like so many Australians, I have been wondering what I can do to help, in any way, to ease the pain and suffering of so many Victorians following the horrific bushfires this past weekend.  I can’t even imagine what they are going through, and have been through, or what lies ahead for them.  I’m shocked that even tonight, more fires may have been deliberately lit.

I’ve been inspired by fellow photographer Kris Leigh in NSW,  and have decided to donate the session fees from all bookings received from today until the 10th March, to the Red Cross Bushfire appeal.

If you are interested in booking a session with me, visit the Australian Red Cross website, donate your $90 session fee via the secure online donations form, send me an email along with an electronic copy of your receipt and we will organise a time and date for your session.

Kris is compiling a list of other photographers who are doing a similar thing, if you aren’t on the Sunshine Coast please visit her blog and find someone near you.

Photo a day | Sunshine Coast Photographer

This past week has been busy – and my kids are losing interest in my project :(  Not many days to go though, hopefully they’ll put up with it for a bit longer :)  I was unwell over the weekend, so there are a couple of rather uninspiring shots in there!  If you’re waiting on prints, or galleries, I promise they’re not far away…

My little girl, scoffing strawberries after her dinner tonight.  Love her “what are YOU looking at?” face :D

My handsome little man, after a haircut!

LOVING the bubble machine!!

Bathtime (also known as forgot to take a pic today!), almost the birthday girl, swimming with Daddy, and playdoh day!

Day 7 | Sunshine Coast photographer

It was a busy day here today so today’s pic is fairly boring – my son ‘helping’ his dad wash the car.  I think there was more water on him than on the car….and he tried more than once to wet me as well, luckily I had my zoom lens on and was far enough away to avoid a drenching!

Holiday fun | Sunshine Coast family photographer

Last week I photographed the cutest little boy and his mum and dad, who were visiting the Coast on holidays, and thought they’d sneak in a quick photo session while they were here.  This little man had no interest in my camera so we had to resort to all sorts of craziness to get him to smile and look at me!  Here’s a sneak peek for you K & P, and I’ll be in touch with you soon with the rest of your images to choose your christmas cards!

I have some gorgeous christmas card designs that can be personalised with your photos, they look fantastic and very popular.  Here’s a sample of the designs on offer.  If you’d like to book a session for christmas shots, get in quick – by the end of October, early November at the latest!
