Gorgeous couple, stunning wedding! | Sunshine Coast wedding photographer

I had the pleasure of helping a fellow photographer (who is also a wonderful friend!) to photograph a wedding in Bundaberg recently. This couple were so obviously in love, and it was such a beautiful wedding! The weather wasn’t that kind to us, though we managed to get some photographs in before the rain started (and didn’t stop the entire night!) L & D, thank you SO much for letting me be part of your special day, and I hope you love this sneak peek!

How gorgeous are they? What a sweetheart this one is:
Too cute: Their first dance as husband and wife!

Photo-a-day January | Sunshine Coast photographer

I have just realised that I didn’t blog the rest of my photo a day images! The beginning of February was very busy, and it completely slipped my mind. Better late than never - here are the rest of the photos for the month. I contemplated continuing the project for the year, but decided against it - my kids are probably very glad of that :D I’ve ordered a coffee table book of the images, can’t wait to receive it! I have a few more things to blog, am only just now catching up on it all!

My cheeky girl:

Clowning around with daddy:

We are loving having a pool and making the most of it with the hot weather!

Jack loooooves books. He can read them back to us, from memory!

He also loves his little friend - I’m not sure he’s so keen on the hugs though!

Fast asleep after a big day in the car:

Showing off a dress made for her by our neighbour - isn’t it beautiful?

What can I do?

No doubt like so many Australians, I have been wondering what I can do to help, in any way, to ease the pain and suffering of so many Victorians following the horrific bushfires this past weekend.  I can’t even imagine what they are going through, and have been through, or what lies ahead for them.  I’m shocked that even tonight, more fires may have been deliberately lit.

I’ve been inspired by fellow photographer Kris Leigh in NSW,  and have decided to donate the session fees from all bookings received from today until the 10th March, to the Red Cross Bushfire appeal.

If you are interested in booking a session with me, visit the Australian Red Cross website, donate your $90 session fee via the secure online donations form, send me an email along with an electronic copy of your receipt and we will organise a time and date for your session.

Kris is compiling a list of other photographers who are doing a similar thing, if you aren’t on the Sunshine Coast please visit her blog and find someone near you.

Dodging the rain! | Sunshine Coast family portraits

This weekend I met a lovely family down at Happy Valley for some family photos.  It had been a little overcast most of the day but I hoped the rain would stay away for our shoot!  We had to hide under the boardwalk for a few minutes, but then the weather was good to us and we were able to complete the shoot!  Thanks for letting me photograph your beautiful family, E & S, and I hope you enjoy this sneak peek.  There are many more to come, I’ll be in touch soon :)

The whole family:

B, what a cutie, doesn’t he look like he could have a career in modelling in this shot?

The stunning Miss M!
